Our Story
Malick and Asma. We are Fustan. We were acquaintances that became friends and are now business partners. Our passion for fine clothing hurled us into a constant dialogue of design, color hues, fabrics and all things habadashery. We pooled our ideas and passion into Fustan. We are both professional working women with families and daughters. We sought fashion forward clothing without compromising our beliefs of female modesty. We created Fustan.
What We Do
Fustan is a Pakistani clothing brand that blends tradition ethnic wear with western fashion to create stylish yet classic clothing.
Fustan is a 100% female owned and managed business. From our designers, to our fabric experts in the bazaars, to our sales force and marketers, we are collaborative of women, each with unique skills. Each with passion.
Empowering Women in Pakistan
Fustan’s vision is to create high-quality, durable, timeless clothing for contemporary women and in doing uplifting the lives of our female employees in Pakistan. We hire women artisans skilled in the many traditional hand-embroideries – Mukesh, Shisha, Zari, Dabka, Kashmiri – amongst others to create exquisite pieces.
Continuing Creativity to Deliver the Best Designs
Fustan’s mission is to be the best in the market and we make no apologies! In order to lead the market, we invest heavily in creating new and exciting designs. Our design team closely follows global fashion trends & incorporates them into our upcoming collections. The lead time between what we design and debut is short - a three month turnaround. Our aim is to deliver designs commensurate with global trends.
We cut only a limited number of each design. We do not mass produce. Once a design has sold out, we’re back to the drawing board, our belief being that owning an original garment emboldens uniqueness and originality. Our fabric experts constantly scour the marketplace to find new fabrics and colors that are trending enabling us to stay ahead of the curve to deliver exquisite fashions.
Supporting Orphans
We match every purchase with a monetary contribution to an orphanage in Pakistan.
